Robert W. Prim Pastor
Bob came to Nacoochee Presbyterian in 1998 after serving as associate minister and Auburn University campus minister for the First Presbyterian Church in Auburn, Alabama. He obtained his BA in Religion and Urban Studies in 1981 from Furman University, and his Master of Divinity degree in 1986 from Vanderbilt University Divinity School.
"My family and I love the Sautee Nacoochee community and we find great nourishment in this congregation. The folks who come here to worship are from many different places -- physical locales and faith journeys -- but each offers his or her unique gifts to the well-being of the whole. We are gay and straight, young and old, rich and not so, conservative and liberal and many places in-between; yet, there is a unity of purpose in the direction of faithfulness to the beauty and wonder of life in God! Praise be for Nacoochee Presbyterian Church!"
Keith F. Nickle Parish Associate
Author and editor of several religious books, Keith was ordained in 1958 and received his Doctor of Theology degree in 1966 from the University of Basel, Switzerland. A professor and leader in divinity schools in Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Atlanta, he retired in 1999 and became a parish associate at NPC in 2001. His pastoral work has spanned the globe, from Indonesia to France to churches across the U.S.
"The faith community of Nacoochee Presbyterian Church gratefully embraces into its fellowship a kaleidoscopic variety of folks from multiple cultural, religious, educational, geographic and relational backgrounds. But we are not satisfied with focusing only on our own internal issues and well-being. NPC insistently and persuasively invites, even requires, active engagement with the ethical, moral and political issues of our wider local community, of this state and nation, and of the worldwide human community."
Joy White Pruett Parish Associate
Joy earned her Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary and her certification as Spiritual Director from San Francisco Theological Seminary. In 1997, she was ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament at Nacoochee Presbyterian Church. Soon after, she was invited to serve as Parish Associate.
"The Sweetness of God's Spirit seems to touch all who worship here. Our pastor and this community of faith take seriously God's command to love. Indeed, the love of God and the compassion of Christ stand at the pinnacle of the church's affections through its ministry of inclusivity and hospitality -- a ministry I support with all my heart, mind and soul. It is an honor to be part of this congregation."
