NURTURE MINISTRY

"Fullfillment, Encouragement, Strength"

Nurture Vision Statement

We envision Nacoochee Presbyterian Church to be a community of faith where all members, friends, and visitors will experience the ongoing nurture of the congregation. We envision infants, children, youth, young adults, single people, married people, partnered people, and older adults finding in our congregation encouragement and strength for the journey of life and faith.

Through our Nurture Ministry, we seek to ascertain and fulfill the spiritual, emotional, and fiscal needs of the members and friends of Nacoochee Presbyterian Church (NPC). We continue to expand the number of people involved in the ongoing work of our Nurture Ministry as we grow in membership and find more opportunities to serve.

Vacation Bible School – We have an ecumenical Vacation Bible School during the summer each year, where we meld adults, youth, and participants with local Episcopal and Baptist churches.

Adult Education – Our Sunday School programs for adults cover a potpourri of topics, including missions world religions, Middle-Eastern conflicts, and the environment. The coordinator is Bob Prim, afbprim@alltel.net.

Membership Rolls and Directory Ministry – This ministry maintains the church membership roll records and reviews the membership directory updates.

New Member Support Ministry – This ministry provides a transition for new members from the initial joining of the church to establishing the first feelings of ownership in the congregation and the church programs.
