Blessing of the Animals - 2008

The dogs had their day April 27 at the church’s first Blessing of the Animals. The late-afternoon service drew dozens of canines and their owners who sat patiently—well, mostly—while Pastor Bob Prim offered a prayer of St. Francis and individual blessings for the pets. Later, the children of the church sold toys and goodies, raising nearly $500 for Smithgall Woods Animal Shelter.
